Schemity is an offline-first desktop application for database ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) visualization and migration generation. Your privacy is fundamental to how we build and operate the product.
Schemity does not collect, store, or process any personal information in any form. The application has no cloud backend, no user accounts, no analytics, and no telemetry. It runs entirely on your machine and nothing leaves it.
The only information Schemity collects is an automatically generated machine ID and your country code. Both are used solely for license verification purposes. Neither of these identifies you personally.
When you choose to purchase a license, that transaction is handled entirely by LemonSqueezy, a third-party payment platform. Your payment details, email address, and any other purchase information are collected and stored by LemonSqueezy, not by Schemity. We have no access to your payment information and do not store it anywhere.

The only data Schemity transmits is an auto-generated machine ID and your country code for license verification. These are not personal identifiers and cannot be used to identify you. All other data stays on your local machine at all times.
When you purchase a Schemity license, the entire transaction is processed by LemonSqueezy. LemonSqueezy collects and stores your email address and payment details for the purpose of processing your purchase. This information is stored on LemonSqueezy's infrastructure, not on any Schemity-owned server. Schemity only sends an auto-generated machine ID and your country code to verify your license.
LemonSqueezy's handling of your information is governed by their own Privacy Policy.
This website (schemity.com) uses Google Tag Manager for advertising measurement. Google may collect anonymized browsing data on the website in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. This applies only to the website, not to the desktop application. The Schemity application itself contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
All your work in Schemity is stored as plain JSON files in the
~/schemity/ directory on your machine. You have full
ownership and control over these files. You can back them up,
version-control them with Git, or delete them at any time.
Database connection details you configure within Schemity are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any remote server.
The Schemity desktop application does not use cookies. The Schemity website may use cookies for Google Tag Manager and basic site functionality. No cookies are used for user tracking or profiling beyond what is described in Section 4.
Schemity does not store any personal data on its servers. Your email and payment details associated with your license purchase are retained by LemonSqueezy on their infrastructure for as long as your license is active. If you wish to have this information removed, contact us and we will coordinate deletion with LemonSqueezy.
Schemity is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Schemity after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
